SurroHub and Nodal: how they differ

Nodal comes up often when people ask about surrogacy technology, so agencies ask how it compares with SurroHub. The honest answer is that they do different jobs for different people.

Short answer: Nodal is a surrogacy matching platform: surrogates and intended parents create profiles, find each other, and get case management support from Nodal through the early journey. SurroHub is a surrogacy and egg donor agency platform: software an agency uses to run its own surrogates, intended parents, egg donors and matches, with applications, workflows, contracts and branded portals. Nodal serves families and surrogates directly and partners with agencies; SurroHub is the system the agency itself runs on.

What Nodal is

Nodal describes itself as a platform that connects surrogates and intended parents. Surrogates join and create a profile, intended parents become members, and the two sides find each other by expressing interest in profiles, followed by a video call. Nodal runs identity and background checks and provides a case manager who helps with clinic coordination, travel, reimbursements and support through the early stages. It shows whether a profile belongs to an independent journey or an agency, has a partnership arrangement with agencies (referring intended parents, and helping agency clients find a match), and offers a medical records review service for clinics and agencies.

Why "versus" is the wrong frame

Nodal is not agency software. It does not set out to be the CRM a surrogacy agency uses to track its applicants, contracts, messages and portals. SurroHub is not a public matching marketplace: it does not list your surrogates to the world. An agency could use both: Nodal as a source of matches or a partner, and SurroHub to run every case from application to delivery.

Frequently asked questions

What is Nodal?

Nodal is a surrogacy matching platform that connects surrogates and intended parents, with background checks and case management support. It also partners with surrogacy agencies.

Is Nodal a surrogacy agency CRM?

No. Nodal matches surrogates and intended parents and supports their journeys. It is not software an agency uses to run its own cases; SurroHub is.

Can an agency use Nodal and SurroHub together?

Yes. An agency can partner with Nodal or find matches through it, and run every case in SurroHub, from application and screening through contracts, pregnancy and delivery.

Does SurroHub list surrogates publicly?

No. Agencies choose exactly which profiles to share and with whom: intended parents see them in their private portal or through a link the agency sends.
